If you drink a lot of beverages that stain your teeth (tea, coffee, etc.), though, the effects of this method may last for a shorter time.

Some other disadvantages of the teeth whitening in this way may include tooth and gum sensitivity. Dentists can manage teeth sensitivity or gum irritation when stronger peroxide formula is used.
